I ran from my faith, succumbed to self-destructive behaviors, and gave up the goals and dreams I no longer felt like I deserved. It wasn’t until God spoke to me through a worship song during one of the lowest points in my life that I realized that He truly had never left me and that he was calling me home. I opened up my Bible, studied his word, learned his true character, and partnered with him for eternity as he healed by heart and restored my brokenness. We have another guest episode today! Our guest today is Melissa Manion. She is an author, speaker, and truth teller and is on fire for the Lord. When she was a single mom to a toddler, she found herself in an unplanned pregnancy and, despite growing up pro-life, ended the life of her unborn child.
After many years of pain, Melissa has healed and now shares her story with others to spread the Gospel and lead women to healing in Christ while also sharing the truth about abortion in hopes of inspiring women to choose life. Of all of the women that have chosen abortion one or more times in their past, MANY of them are living in marriages in which their spouse does not know. Imagine living in a marriage with such a deep secret. Maybe you don't have to imagine it, because you are living it right now. Is it affecting your marriage? My guess is that you would answer "yes."
It is never good to have secrets in our marriage and we are going to talk about that today. No matter when your abortion occurred, it is important for you to tell your spouse. Unless you are in a dangerous situation with your spouse, this is something to confide in them.

October marks Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. As women who have chosen abortion, this month can bring an immense amount of guilt and grief. We want to be able to grieve over our child lost to abortion, but we feel guilty doing so because we chose that for our child. We see many mothers grieving the tragic loss of their children due to miscarriage, still birth, or early child loss and it is so sad to think how much they loved and wanted their babies. We begin to think that because we chose not to give our babies life, we don't get to grieve them.
There is absolutely no wrong time to honor our children that have been lost to abortion. God created them, and they are with Him in heaven. We have confessed our sin and given Him our pain, and He desires for us to be whole. He has given us full permission to honor our children. So today, I'm giving you 6 ways that you can honor your children that have been lost to abortion, and you can honor them this month or any time that you are missing them a little extra.

It's our first *BONUS* episode! This week, I was invited by 40 Days for Life in Moorhead, MN to share my testimony outside of the local abortion facility. While the building is different, this facility is the same one I went to 13 years ago almost to the day to have my abortion. The ownership, many of the clinic staff, and even some of the escorts and the sidewalk advocates are the same.
