I ran from my faith, succumbed to self-destructive behaviors, and gave up the goals and dreams I no longer felt like I deserved. It wasn’t until God spoke to me through a worship song during one of the lowest points in my life that I realized that He truly had never left me and that he was calling me home. I opened up my Bible, studied his word, learned his true character, and partnered with him for eternity as he healed by heart and restored my brokenness. God has really placed it on my heart to go more in depth with this part of my story today. After the births of my two children, I experienced postpartum hemorrhage as a consequence of choosing abortion in my past and suffered for months with postpartum depression, suicidal ideation, and hopelessness. Thankfully, God had His hand on me and He led me to reaching out to a friend that would lead me to the Bible study that changed my life. If you resonate with my story, please reach out. This one is a tad longer than our typical minisodes but the woman at the well is just one of my favorite stories and has really truly changed how I see Jesus.
