Hey, I’m Brittany, a wife, work from home mom, and daughter of a king, and you wouldn’t know it just by looking at me, but I too walked through the doors of an abortion facility and ended the life of my unborn child. For over 10 years I tried to hide the pain I carried with me as a result of a choice I made when I was 17 years old. I ran from my faith, succumbed to self-destructive behaviors, and gave up the goals and dreams I no longer felt like I deserved. It wasn’t until God spoke to me through a worship song during one of the lowest points in my life that I realized that He truly had never left me and that he was calling me home. I opened up my Bible, studied his word, learned his true character, and partnered with him for eternity as he healed by heart and restored my brokenness. If you are ready to finally feel whole again, to find that peace and forgiveness you so desperately desire, and to stop feeling alone knowing there’s a community of women supporting you every step of the way, I am so happy you are here. A common feeling I think many of us who have chosen abortion struggle with is the feeling that God hates us, that His love has left us, and that we are far too dirty for Him to ever want to love us again. While I can tell you with 100% certainty - and mountains of Biblical evidence - that thought is far from the truth, it doesn’t mean that our feelings are invalid. While we feel like God hates us, we can rest in knowing that He truly loves us. So, let’s look at Proverbs 6:16-19 and find out what God actually hates.

So, I made a mistake in a recent episode that had me going, “OH MY GOSH,” when I realized it. I started to beat myself up, and say “who am I to even have this podcast?” But then, I realized that I am human, I am far from perfect, it’s not the first mistake and it won’t be the last, and it can absolutely be a teachable moment on the podcast. Sometimes, I think we have this expectation when we join a healing group, that our pain of abortion will magically disappear and all will be well and normal again. While I absolutely 100% believe in healing groups and healing help (I wouldn’t offer 1:1 help or volunteer my time with other healing organizations if I didn’t truly believe in it), I do think there are times when we continue to feel lost and uncertain.
If you’ve been through healing after your abortion, and you still are feeling like you’re just not there, I want you to know that there is nothing wrong with you. Grief is extremely complex and is different for everyone. Today, we’re going to dive into that more so that you can better understand why healing maybe didn’t “work” the first time, and what you can do to continue the journey.

Abortion and politics: they seem to go hand in hand. I don’t personally believe abortion should even be a political issue because, really, it’s a moral issue. But regardless, we as women who have had abortions tend to have this question: do I now need to be involved in politics because I regret my abortion? Do I have to get involved because I’ve been healed?
We’re going to tackle those questions, and I’m praying that I speak from the holy spirit! God, give me the words.
